Becoming a Sister of Notre Dame
by Rosette Ngeta Mandinga
I’m Rosette Ngeta Mandinga and I joined the Congregation in October 2008 making my final vows just a few weeks ago.
I would like to share a little about my life in the Mission Saint Anne, Kikondja where I worked before I took my final vows. I started off doing the accounts, then I worked as an administrator and finally as the cashier. My day began at 7.30 am and finished at 2.30 pm.
My experience at the Mission has taught me that the best way of discovering our mission is by going to the margins to be with the poorest and the sick; they are the ones who need us the most. How they lived has nourished my prayer life and through them I have discovered the suffering face of Jesus. My joy has been to see the sick get better, being able to share the Word of God in community, joining young people in their activities and in having a good working relationship with the nursing staff.
